Kimberly Cheatle: The 27th Director of the United States Secret Service

Early Life and Career

Kimberly Cheatle was born on August 15, 1972. She began her career with the United States Secret Service in 1994.

Cheatle holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland University College and a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Director of the United States Secret Service

Sworn into Office

Cheatle was sworn in as the 27th Director of the United States Secret Service on September 17, 2022.

In this role, she is responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall success of the Secret Service.

Previous Experience

Prior to becoming Director, Cheatle served as the Deputy Director of the Secret Service under Director James Murray.

In her previous role, she was responsible for the agency's Protective Operations Division, Intelligence Division, Office of Strategic Planning, and Office of Human Capital.
