Morgan Spurlock, the Oscar-nominated documentary filmmaker behind "Super Size Me" and other works critiquing consumerism, has died. He was 53.
According to a statement released Thursday, May 23, by Spurlock's publicist, Heather Weiss, Spurlock passed away in New York City due to complications from cancer.
