Mavericks Acquire Gafford and Washington

Mavs Bolster Frontcourt with Trade Deadline Deals

Strengthening Depth for Playoff Push

The Dallas Mavericks have made significant roster additions before the NBA trade deadline, bolstering their frontcourt and wing depth. The team acquired center Daniel Gafford from the Washington Wizards and traded Grant Williams, Seth Curry, and a future first-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets for power forward PJ Washington.

Gafford brings a physical presence to the Mavericks' frontcourt, averaging 10.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game this season. His rim protection and rebounding ability will provide a valuable complement to young star Luka Doncic.

Washington, meanwhile, adds shooting and experience to their lineup with the addition of Williams and Curry. Williams, a versatile forward, can stretch the floor with his three-point shooting, while Curry is a reliable scorer and playmaker.

With these moves, the Mavericks have addressed a key weakness in their roster, adding size and athleticism to their frontcourt. As the season enters its final stretch, the Mavericks are now better equipped to make a deep playoff run.
