Fans to Receive Limited-Edition T-Shirts
Miikka Kiprusoff is having his jersey retired on March 2nd. The Calgary Flames have announced that the pre-game ceremony will be held before the game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. All fans in attendance will receive a limited-edition t-shirt celebrating the occasion.
Kiprusoff played nine seasons for the Flames, posting a 309-201-66 record with a 2.44 GAA and a .917 save percentage. He won the Vezina Trophy in 2006 and was a finalist for the award in 2004 and 2007. Kiprusoff also helped the Flames reach the Stanley Cup Final in 2004.
In a statement, Kiprusoff said he is "honored and humbled" to have his jersey retired by the Flames.
